Hotels for Hope Website

It was a year ago that I attended A Glimmer of Hope’s “Let There Be Hope” fundraising event. 300 people came together to raise $1,081,758 to transform the lives of those living in Robit, Ethiopia.

As a messenger of our crew, our clients and our hotel community I was fortunate to witness a night that still to this day gives me goosebumps. After transforming 2,200 room nights into a $4,400 charitable contribution, Hotels for Hope was able to furnish Robit with one of fifty-two hand dug wells.

This past week, Eric Schmidhauser (Director of Social Investment) provided us with pictures of our well. Today, as I write this post, I thank everyone that contributed to this opportunity. Your room nights continue to make a difference. Hotels for Hope is grateful to be a conduit between organization’s hotel needs and their social mission…

- Because of you, 300 children no longer have to walk 11 miles to provide water for their families.

- Because of you, these same children can spend more time in school gaining an education

- Because of you, families have access to clean, safe drinking water
